People are getting inventive with the way they display desserts, these days! Here is a stack of cookies, designed to look much like the wedding cake they were with. This was at the Prado in Balboa Park in San Diego and a fun wedding it was!
Ring shots are always important for couples to get and while best shot with a macro lens, sometimes what you have on the camera is the best choice... I think Heather did an excellent job with this one, getting the blue in the background and the arrangement of the rings is very cool. She shot this with her Canon 5D mkIII and a Tamron 15-30 f2.8 VC, Canon 600 EX-RT. The remarkable thing about that Tamron is that it has a minimum focus distance of 4 inches! That gives it the ability to get some remarkable perspectives that might not be available to a longer, traditional macro lens and it is as sharp as any thing out there, including a lot of prime lenses!
The Prado Restaurant in Balboa Park is one of San Diego's premier wedding venues and one of the oldest premium restaurants in the city, occupying a building that dates back more than 100 years in Balboa Park.
