Flowers, flowers everywhere. If there's one thing always at a wedding, it's flowers. They also give us, as wedding photographers, a chance to play way over on the creative side. The colors of a flower arrangement or bridal bouquet highlight the look of a wedding and, in our opinion, are the most important part of how a wedding looks.
The focus, no pun intended, of this image is only on the flowers. Shot at a relatively narrow aperture lets us keep the entire bouquet in focus but we still softened the background. Shot with a Canon 5D, an underrated camera because it's been so pushed aside with high resolution 20 or 30 megapixel bodies. But the tonal transitions in images and the beautiful color it produces straight out of the camera make up for any shortage of pixels, of which, honestly, it has enough. That body, teamed with the Canon 70-200 f2.8L IS lens that every Canon wedding shooter should have in their bag, gave gorgeous images, time after time.
