First Kiss in a Church in black and white

First Kiss in a Church, San Diego Wedding Photographers

Lea and Randy are a really fun couple we worked with in early March. We knew from the time we first met with them, we'd have a great time working with them, and that was affirmed at our engagement photo session at Paradise Falls in Oceanside. Their wedding, at St. Margaret Catholic Church, also in Oceanside, was beautiful, but the fun started as soon as we got outside and continued apace at the reception at Los Willows Wedding Estate in Fallbrook, Ca. Randy is an absolute hoot, and has this absolutely evil, mischievous leer when he looks at Lea!
This, though, was a quiet, peaceful moment between the two at the conclusion of their ceremony at the church. The love between the two is obvious. Black and white, I think, enhances the soft light of the church interior and makes the scene even more peaceful.
One of the things I love about modern cameras is their ability to shoot clean images at ISOs that, a few years ago, would have resulted in a digital noisy mess. Shooting inside churches, flash is seldom allowed during the ceremony and being able to get great images at low light levels is necessary. Fast lenses aid in this, and our Canon 5D mkIIIs with f2.8 zoom lenses mounted meet this criterion.
