We love black and white photos, and as wedding photographers in San Diego, we have a lot of opportunities to shoot classic images that fit monochrome to a "t." This sweet moment while the bride's mom helps the bride's grandfather with his tie is one of those moments. Taken at Paradise Falls Wedding venue in Oceanside, Ca, even the lush tropical landscape fades in significance to the interaction between the two. The monochrome just serves to focus attention on them, rather than the surroundings. These are the times we love.
Shot with a Canon 5D mkIII and Tamron 24-70 f2.8 VC lens, it shows the bokeh that the lens is capable of and the contrast, too. We converted it to black and white using Alien Skin Exposure and a couple of proprietary tweaks. I love the way it looks, here.
