San Diego is an incredibly diversely ethnic area, with people from all over the world choosing to call this lower left hand corner of the country, "home." As San Diego wedding photographers, we love that, because it lets us experience the happiest day of people's lives in a huge number of ways. One of our favorite "ways," is Indian. While the bride grew up here in San Diego and is of European descent, she and her Indian groom wanted to make the ceremony as traditionally Indian as possible in the heart of Southern California. Here you see the intricate tracings of traditional mehndi on her hands and the ornate headpiece her future mother in law presented her.
I shot this portrait with a Canon 5D, which accounts for the soft, smooth tonal transitions in the image and a Canon 70-200 f2.8L IS, which, despite its bulk, makes a fantastic portrait lens.
