Destination San Diego Wedding Engagement Photographer

This image taken at the MOCA in Los Angeles with our clients Angelica and Aaron. We brought along the bright red umbrella to add a great of pop to their engagement session photos that we did inside the museum exhibit outside with all the street lights. This great couple is getting married at Los Willows in Fallbrook Ca. and we are so excited to be chosen as their wedding photographers. When we first met them at our studio when they came in to interview with us, we felt a great connection. We all quickly fell into a comfortable connection and everyone felt that we would be a great fit together to photograph their wedding day. In this photo we had the groom lean against one of the lights and then pull in his bride to be. With this image we were trying to create the illusion that the couple was alone in a jungle of street lights and we just happened to capture them in this moment. This image is a great memory and look into the connection of this couple as they begin their journey to their wedding day.As wedding photographers in San Diego we don't often get the chance to work in Los Angeles, but love it when we do. There are always so many locations that are fresh and new to us, they are artistically very inspiring. The traffic in LA is always a little crazy but once we arrive we immediately get into creative mode and all the traffic stress seems to fade away. The largest of 3 MOCA branches presents world-class contemporary art in a former police garage.Address: 152 N Central Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90012Phone:(213) 625-4390 Street parking is a little difficult but there are parking garages very nearby. This image was taken at twilight near the end of June. We needed the light right at sunset to really pull the colors out in this image. The plaza that these lights are in was unfortunately very crowded at the time we were doing this shot. A busload of tourists had just pulled up to the museum and tourists were milling about all around this display. By using a low angle on this shot, we were able to hide the people that were behind the couple and worked carefully to keep people out of the scene. When we do engagement sessions we always want to insure that our couples are feeling comfortable and relaxed. This isn't always easy when there are quite a few people standing around watching them. We always suggest that the focus only on eachother, and that they take this time to talk intimately between themselves about maybe one of their most romantic memories of then together as a couple. This often relaxes both of them. We see shoulders drop and bodies meld together. We felt that the use of the red umbrella in this photo would add a bit of extra interest to this image and it also worked perfectly with the red soles of the Louboutins that our bride to be was wearing for their session. The key to a girls heart is through a red sole.We love it when our clients do two looks for their engagement session in San Diego too. It's so nice to have two different looks, one casual and one dressy.
